Who we are
From the outset it was recognised that a partnership approach was key to the development of a local strategy and as such a multi agency steering group was set up. Membership of this group includes individuals with ASD, Families, Carers, representatives from Social Services, Education, Housing, Local Area Co-ordination, NHS Forth Valley, Employment Support, Criminal Justice, Police, Advocacy, Third Sector organisations and Autism specific agencies.
The strategy provides the context for the development of a local autism plan for Stirling and Clackmannanshire. By focusing on achieving better outcomes, increasing opportunities and providing greater clarity on the services available locally, the strategy covers the needs of children and adults with an autism spectrum disorder, and their families & carers.
The steering group reports to Stirling and Clackmannanshire Health and Social Care partnership as well as to Directors and Chief Officers of the respective agencies and services involved.
